Celebrate Sustainability Milestones, Learn from Local Scientists and Take Action!

What is the Sustainability Summit?
You and your elected officials will have local climate, marine and environmental scientists presenting recent local research related to extreme weather, local flooding, sea level rise, Tampa Bay Estuary and more. An open forum of Q&A will follow. Several local organizations including Deuces Live, Sustainable Urban Agriculture Coalition (SUAC), Edible Peace Patch, Citizen-led St. Petersburg Sustainability Council, League of Women Voters, the Florida Solar Industries Association, Chart411-Earth Day, and more will be available to provide information and network with you about your interests, needs, and how to engage.

The city’s Offices of Education and Sustainability along with the Urban Land Institute Tampa Bay and county staff will also be available to discuss resiliency & equity for a lasting community where all citizens benefit from infrastructure and community planning investments. Make your voice heard for next steps.

Why should you participate?
Sustainability threads through many local activities including neighborhood improvements, tree plantings, local food access, education, voting rights, human rights, and so much more. This is a chance to act on behalf of the many goals and needs of the community.
