5th Annual City of St. Petersburg Veterans Day Awards

For the fifth year in a row, Mayor Rick Kriseman will celebrate Veteran's Day by presenting awards to local veterans.
2018 Honored Veteran Award: Maxine Cardinal Wehry was among the first women to join the United States Marines Corps during WWII. She is the author of “A Kindred Spirit”, a book that recounts her time in the Marines.
The Original NFL Veterans Honoring U.S. Military Veterans: Terance Jackson served as a medic in the United States Army for more than 20 years. Jackson was a partner in the reopening of St. Pete’s Historic Manhattan Casino, along with his son Vincent Jackson of NFL fame.
Students from the Gibbs High School Pinellas County Center for the Arts will perform the National Anthem and the event will be followed by a complimentary breakfast.
