Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg.
This FREE festival is a celebration of literacy featuring nationally renowned authors, book signings, panel discussions and a variety of entertainment. The USF St. Petersburg campus is located at 140 7th Ave South in St. Petersburg, attendees may utilize campus and downtown parking, giving easy access to all events throughout the day.
More than 50 authors are confirmed to appear at the 2018 Festival including founder and chairman of World Central Kitchen, José Andrés. His latest book is the memoir We Fed and Island: The True Story of Rebuilding Puerto Rico, One Meal at a Time. He will be alongside other bestsellers such as Oprah’s Book Club selection An American Marriage by Tayari Jones, authors Michael Koryta, Joyce Maynard, Gary Shteyngart, David Small, Robert Olen Butler, Jack E. Davis, and Pulitzer Prize winner Gilbert King, author of Beneath a Ruthless Sun: A True Story of Violence, Race, and Justice Lost and Found. In addition to the author appearances, there will be an extensive Book Market featuring local merchants. Additionally, don’t miss the conversations by authors Marc Topkin (20 Years of Rays Baseball) and the Times Pulitzer Prize-winning PolitiFact team.
