The City of St. Petersburg has been diligently monitoring the COVID-19 public health situation and continues to work closely with public health officials and the Florida Department of Health. After much thought, and per the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to practice social distancing and refrain from large gatherings, the St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation Department has decided to cancel the 2020 Mayor’s Youth Showcase of Achievement. This decision was not made lightly. As the COVID-19 situation evolves, the safety of our community and employees is our top priority.
Please direct any questions to the Department at 727-893-7441. For operational updates, including program suspensions and facility closures, from the Department, visit www.stpeteparksrec.org.
